Nissan Leaf EV enters 10,000-mile Mongol Rally
90-mile range, plus EV charging points are few and far between in Siberia.

EVs make natural rally cars, just so long as you can find a place to charge them. Nissan
Chris Ramsey of Plug In Adventures. Nissan
Front of cabin is stock, bar rubber floor mats. Nissan
Rear seats removed, new battery cover installed, 32kg saved. Nissan
LED lights to pierce the Mongolian night, like Cardigan's lancers. Nissan
Wheels, tyres, and a jacked up suspension are the most obvious changes.

This is a 7000 km race you win just by completing it! It is in Siberia so I imagine the colds temperatures aren't going to help keep in the battery charged if you want heat in the cabin lol

This type of races are insane I can't believe they even make them to the end the terrain and everything. I think it's rather cool that we can see mainstream auto manufacturers produce vehicles for these type of extreme events
