Elon Musk says Apple EV will be direct competitor

<r>In a video on Yahoo finance, Elon Musk talks about how Google has been working on autonomous tech, but won't really be a competitor in the EV space.<br/> Apple, on the other hand, will be a more direct competitor - and Elon can tell this because of their hiring patterns etc.<br/> <br/> Here's the...

Model 3 reveal - part 2 still to come

So we all know the Model 3 isn't fully revealed - we don't have details on all aspects of the third electric vehicle from Tesla, but there's more coming... it's just when? Could be a while still. RE:BMW Exec says that PHEVs will disappear, but FCEV and BEVs will

Cadillac ELR production cancelled in February

<t>Official word from Cadillac is that the ELR is done. Finished. Will no longer be made.<br/> <br/> Probably partially because de Nysshen (Cadillac's new boss from Audi I think) hates electric vehicles, and partially because the ELR never sold well. It's aleways 20/20 vision in the rear view mirror...

When is it coming?

Now that the ELR is cancelled, I was speaking with a local Cadillac dealer about the upcoming CT6 PHEV, and he said there won't be any plug-in vehicles at the dealership for at least 2 years!!!

Is that because they don't support plug-ins or because the CT-6 is still that far out?

Clay version of Model 3 leaked in video back in 2010!

Check out this video, around the 1 minute 20 seconds time, there's a clay model that looks comparable to the Model 3 (of course easier to spot now that the Model 3 has been unveiled). https://vimeo.com/15411923 Here's a screengrab of the video, and a photo of the Model 3 - from InsideEVs http://insi...
